The “Mamba” Pendant
In 1996 the 13th overall pick of the NBA Draft went to the Charlotte Hornets, they chose Kobe Bryant fresh out of high school. Kobe was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers and the young man did not disappoint. His list of awards and accomplishments is staggering, he was by all definitions a Champion.
In his 20 year career, he put up some of the most impressive numbers by any ball player to ever step on the floor, 5 NBA rings, 2 NBA Finals MVP’s, he was a 17 time All Star, a 12 time All-Defense selectee, the 1997 Slam Dunk Champion, he won two Gold Medals with Team U.S.A, he hit 12 tree point shots in one game, and broke off the Raptors with 81 points, we could go on and on but you get the point, he was a killer in purple and gold!
On January 26, 2020 the world lost 9 beautiful souls, in a tragic helicopter crash. Kobe Bryant, and his 13 year old daughter Gianna were among them.
We created this pendant to give fans of Kobe something they could keep forever within in their families. It can be worn or displayed, but undoubtedly every time it is seen it will bring up stories of the “Black Mamba”. The pendant is Kobe himself pulling at his jersey, screaming in victory, every detail was captured to the best of our abilities, his “shooting sleeve”, the tattoos, his taped fingers, the veins in his neck and forehead, even the smallest details on his jersey. Two snakes wrap his body and arm, intertwining onto his back. He is wearing the number 24, we also wanted to remind everyone he started as number 8. This “8” has a deeper meaning, it’s made from the two mambas, one for Kobe, and one for his daughter “Gigi”, it creates an infinity symbol for them, and our love for them! Mamba FOREVER!
We will be donating proceeds from these products to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation.
The Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating positive impact for underserved athletes and young women in sports. Founded through the vision and loving memory of Kobe and Gianna ”Gigi” Bryant.
